Hardwood Floor damage

Do you repair wood floors?

This is a question that I have received from my clients.  The answer is yes, but I do not sand down floors, and do a full refinish.  I can repair minor scratches, gouges, and dents in hardwoods using a specialized technique.  I only repair the spot where the damage occurs.  Doing a full refinish is a very, dusty, and smelly endeavor.  I try to prevent that.

I did not originally do hardwood floor repairs when I started my business.  It started when I was asked by a moving company to help with a wood floor emergency.  A chandelier was hit by a bed frame going up a flight of stairs, and it fell and put a gouge in the wood floor.  When I got to the customer’s home a glass chandelier piece was sticking in the hardwood floor!  I had to dig it out, and fill the damage, and stain to match. Turned out great, and I have done hundreds of floor repairs since.  If you are in doubt if I can repair the damage to your floor, send me a picture.  I can usually determine if I am the right person for the job.
